Editorial Illustration

Client: Student Project

Objective: Illustrate an article’s contents from a chosen list using both Illustrator and Photoshop.

Solution: I utilized Illustrator’s pen tools and shape building tools to create a flat background, complete with basic trees and angled architecture. In the foreground, I illustrated a Chicago alderman and squirrels, both of whom were featured in my chosen article. The textures in the lines and coloring were something I wanted to implement to try different styles of illustrating this piece.
