Client: Student Project

Objective: Illustrate a sun to be turned into CBS Sunday Morning, as if it will be displayed on a television.

Solution: I illustrated a linocut-inspired sun overlooking fields of land. In using contrasting colors, there is a greater emphasis of warmth emanating from the sun onto its environment. The expressive lines remain a little messy to reinforce a playful tone, along with the sun’s smiling face and graphic line work. Each mark provides a feeling of hand-made quality, with purposeful decisions indicating human touch.
